About Us

Ancaster Community Services (ACS) is proud to be a non-profit, volunteer supported, registered charity. The agency offers programs and services for seniors, youth, and individuals in our community who need some extra support. Our focus is on continuing to expand our impact and stay in touch with the ever-changing needs of our diverse and growing community to enhance the quality of life for all.

How We Help

Working with our wonderful partners, we are proud to offer a wide range of programs and services for Ancaster residents of all ages.

Food Assistance Program

As an accredited member of the City of Hamilton’s Emergency Food System, we provide a comfortable and supportive environment for our clients.

Meals On Wheels

Volunteers deliver a hot, nutritious lunch-time meal to seniors and vulnerable people up to 5 days a week (Monday-Friday).

Frozen Meals

A wide range of delicious, home-style meals prepared, frozen at our provider's location and available for pick-up or delivery.

Assisted Volunteer Driving

Volunteer run program providing safe and reliable transportation for local seniors to attend medical and professional appointments.

Shopping 4 Seniors

Allowing seniors requiring extra support to place an order for groceries over the phone and have them delivered contact-free to their doorstep.

Holiday Assistance Program

Providing local income-challenged families, seniors and individuals with food, gifts and gift cards for the holiday season in December.

Babysitting Course

Offered to youth ages 11 to 14 during the summer. This program teaches first aid and other essential lessons needed to become a certified babysitter.

Youth Engagement Program (The Net)

The Net Youth Engagement Program is a youth-led, agency-supported program that aims to help young people (aged 13-18) connect, learn, and engage.
