Overview
This bi-weekly shopping service was created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to support seniors who have limited transportation and/or little to no assistance. Like our other programs, this service is possible thanks to the gift of time generously donated by our incredible volunteers
Qualifications:
- 55+ years of age
- Living in Ancaster or surrounding rural areas
- Requires extra support to access groceries
A small administrative fee of $5 applies for this program. Fees may be adjusted for income-challenged clients. Conditions may apply. Please call our office for details.
Program Notes:
- Clients must be home to receive groceries.
- We encourage clients to order bulk and frozen goods considering the bi-weekly frequency of grocery shopping that we currently offer.
- Please note that volunteer shoppers will do their best to find requested items but may encounter issues with product availability. We appreciate your understanding.
Our volunteer shoppers will not purchase any of the following items:
- Alcoholic beverages
- Cigarettes or smoking products
- Lottery tickets or gambling products
- Medical items (over the counter)
- Gift cards or gift items
- Fast food items
