Volunteers are an essential part of Ancaster Community Services. They are the foundation on which our agency is built. We have a team of approximately 100 volunteers who dedicate their time, talents and resources to deliver our vital programs and services to the community.
We are currently recruiting volunteers for Assisted Volunteer Driving Program.
Most of our programs require you to be 18+ and have a valid drivers license. However, there may be opportunities available at our Youth Engagement Program, The Net. For more information, please email Grace at thenet@hpl.ca or click here to visit their Instagram page @thenetacs.
It can vary depending on the time of year and the agency’s need for volunteers. However, it can take several weeks depending on the position you are looking for and our openings.
Yes. We track all mileage driven by volunteers and pay $0.45 per kilometer driven.
Yes. It is recommended that all volunteers have 2 vaccinations. However, this request will be discussed with the Volunteer Coordinator at the time of application. ACS does not retain any copies of vaccination status. COVID vaccination is greatly appreciated by our staff, clients, and the community.
Keeping you up-to-date on ACS programs, events, and opportunities to support your community
