Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteers are an essential part of Ancaster Community Services. They are the foundation on which our agency is built. We have a team of approximately 100 volunteers who dedicate their time, talents and resources to deliver our vital programs and services to the community.

FAQs

We only have a limited number of volunteer opportunities outside our regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m to 4 p.m.).

Most of our programs require you to be 18+ and have a valid drivers license. However, there may be opportunities available at our Youth Engagement Program, The Net. For more information, please email va*****@***********************es.ca

It can vary depending on the time of year and the agency’s need for volunteers. However, it can take several weeks depending on the position you are looking for and our openings.

Yes. We track all mileage driven by volunteers and pay $0.45 per kilometer driven.

No. All of our volunteers (unless otherwise stated) are required to provide a Vulnerable Sector Police Check. Should you have any questions, please call the office at 905-648-6675.
