Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteers are an essential part of Ancaster Community Services. They are the foundation on which our agency is built. We have a team of approximately 100 volunteers who dedicate their time, talents and resources to deliver our vital programs and services to the community.

National Volunteer Week

Thank you to all ACS Volunteers for your time, dedication, and generosity to the community of Ancaster!

We are currently recruiting volunteers for the Assisted Volunteer Driving and Shopping 4 Seniors programs onlyVolunteers for the Assisted Volunteer Driving program take older adults to medical and professional appointments in the Hamilton area. Volunteers with the Shopping 4 Seniors program grocery shop for a local senior and drop the groceries off at their residence. Please call us or submit your application today to get started!

All other programs at Ancaster Community Services have enough volunteers at this time. If you submit an application now, we will contact you when opportunities become available.

November 15, 2024 – As Ancaster Community Services enters our busiest time of the year with our Holiday Assistance Outreach Program, supporting 125 local families this holiday season, there will be a delay in our response time to applications. We will make every effort to contact you within a timely manner, however, it may take us longer than expected at times.

Any new volunteers applying to ACS, we thank you for your interest and support. Please note, we will return your email/call and proceed with onboarding new volunteers in January 2025.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Ancaster Community Services.
